 The **Standardized Assessment of a Clinical Encounter Report (STACER)** is a semi-structured examination of a psychiatry resident’s interviewing and consultancy skills. An STACER examination is usually a 50 minute diagnostic interview of a volunteer patient that both the resident and examiners do not know.
