Mechanism of Action
Agomelatine stimulates the melatonin receptors and blocks serotonin receptors.
Adverse Events
- Agomelatine may require regular liver function testing due to its potential to elevate liver enzymes (1.3%) and sporadic cases of toxic hepatitis.[1]
